4 x LEUKU KNIFE by Heritage Knives.
The "LEUKU" is the multi-purpose Utility knife of the Sami people, whom traditionally live on the northern frontier of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia. The knife is used for bushcrafting, hunting, camping and survival, a general multi-purpose outdoor knife.
We hand forge our knives with imported high carbon steel (5160 grade), fully quench, use a superior heat treat and have an HRC between 58-59 on the Leuku. Our knives are not machine made nor in large quantities, we hand-craft them in small batches with our hands, hammers & simple tools, similar to how it has been done for many generations in the past. The focus is always durability and functionality so that our Leuku knives live up to their heritage and spirit of Lappland, Sapmi & the Gurkhas, as a tool for life. Our Sami utility knives are hand-forged in the Himalayas of Nepal, partly as our roots are both in Nepal and in Sweden.
All of our Leuku knives have an 8" blade (approx. 20.5 cm) and a handle between 4.75-5" (approx 12,5 cm), there are differences on them from the blade pattern, bevel, handle design and several other elements in-beetwen the four Leuku knives.
There may be minor variations in each knife as they are hand forged, hand crafted and hand made.
